JAG Officers from the Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Navy and Marine Corps will offer a presentation on life as a Judge Advocate General. They will also discuss the application procedure for summer and permanent positions. All classes welcome.

Please note: The U.S. Armed Forces and JAG do not adhere to UVA Law School’s non-discrimination policy with regard to sexual orientation in their hiring practices. In compliance with the Association of American Law Schools’ rules, employers who violate our non-discrimination policy are normally denied access to on-Grounds interviewing facilities. Phi Alpha Delta will is sponsoring its Canned Immunity Food Drive, during which students may donate a canned good in exchange for 'immunity' from a cold call. Check fliers for participating professors, or just bring donations to the Phi Alpha Delta table in Hunton & Williams Hall. Phi Alpha Delta will also be selling cans for those students who forget to bring in a donation. Donate from Nov. 18 - 20. All proceeds benefit the Charlottesville Emergency Food Bank.

Founded by law students at the University of Virginia ten years ago, the Conference on Public Service and the Law brings together students, faculty, attorneys and policy makers to explore public interest issues facing today's legal community and related career paths for young attorneys. California Secretary of State Debra Bowen will be the keynote speaker.

Past conferences have drawn hundreds of law students and close to 100 panelists from across the country. Keynote speakers have included Virginia Gov. Tim Kaine; Senator Edward "Ted" Kennedy '59, ACLU President Nadine Strossen, U.S. Supreme Court Justice Stephen Breyer, U.S. Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito and Arizona Gov. Janet Napolitano '83.
