Symposium: Does Disclosure Have a Future?
In light of the longstanding dissatisfaction with how disclosures have failed to inform consumers and new work suggesting that disclosure should be replaced by a new regulatory regime geared toward changing default choices, this two-day conference will explore whether disclosure has an important role to play in consumer financial regulation in the future, or whether it is a relic that should be replaced. Dean Paul Mahoney, scholars and corporate executives will offer their insights. The event is free and open to students, but breakfast and lunch are for invited guests only.
